Field Trip

Learning beyond the classroom walls

Yahweh Academy Field Trip 2026 – Exploring, Learning, and Growing Together

This year, our Yahweh Academy students are stepping beyond the classroom for a day of discovery, wonder, and real-world learning. The 2026 field trip takes our learners on an exciting journey across some of Uganda’s most remarkable destinations — and we cannot wait to see their faces light up along the way.

Entebbe International Airport

First stop — the airport. For many of our students, this will be their very first time seeing an airport up close, and what a sight it is. From the aircraft on the runway to the buzz of arrivals and departures, the airport opens up a whole new world of possibility. Students will get a feel for how international travel and logistics work, sparking conversations about careers, countries, and the wider world that awaits them beyond Uganda’s borders.

Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, Entebbe

From the airport, we head to the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre — a place where learning and nature meet in the most wonderful way. Our students will come face to face with some of Uganda’s incredible wildlife, from primates to reptiles to birds they have only ever read about in books. It is the kind of experience that stays with a child long after the day is over, deepening their appreciation for God’s creation and the importance of caring for the natural world around us.

Acacia Mall, Kampala

To round off the day, we visit Acacia Mall in Kampala — one of the city’s well-known modern shopping and lifestyle centres. For children growing up in Bugoba, a visit like this broadens their understanding of urban life, commerce, and the many different environments that make up their country. It is also, quite simply, a treat — and our students deserve one.

Why These Experiences Matter

At Yahweh Tendereza, we have always believed that education does not end at the classroom door. Field trips like this give our learners the chance to connect what they study with the world they live in. They build curiosity, widen horizons, and create memories that textbooks simply cannot provide. For many of our students, this will be their first time visiting these places — and that first experience can shape a child’s dreams in ways we may not even fully see until years from now.

We are grateful for the opportunity to give our children this kind of day, and we thank every parent, staff member, and supporter who makes it possible.

Stay tuned for photos and highlights from the day!
